Brazil and Peru face each other for the second round of the Qualifiers

After easily beating Bolivia 5-0 at the Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo, for the opening round of the World Cup Qualifiers in Qatar, Brazil plays with the Peruvian national team this Tuesday at 9 pm , at the opponent’s house, in Lima.

The two teams faced each other in the 2019 Copa America final, on July 7 at Maracanã, with the title won by the Brazilians in the 3-1 victory, goals from Everton Cebolinha, Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison for Brazil and Guerrero for the Peruvians.

In the opening match in the qualifiers, Peru achieved a good draw with Paraguay by 2 x 2 in Asunción. The Peruvians opened the scoring, allowed the turn, but drew in the end. Peru’s goals were scored by Carrillo.

For the game against Brazil the opponent will not have the former São Paulo Cueva, who suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh in his debut against the Paraguayans. The great Peruvian star, the center forward Guerrero, had a serious injury a few months ago and will not return to the pitch until 2021.

Brazil at the outset has no problems with the squad and coach Tite should put on the field the same team that thrashed the Bolivians at the Corinthians stadium in the opening match of the tournament that will point the classified in South America for the next World Cup. Everton should remain open on the right and Neymar will act on the left of the attack against the Peruvians. More info
